Kenneth Steinbach was recently included in the EcoByway exhibit at St John’s University, juried by Christine Bauemler and Peter L. Johnson. Information about the exhibit, along with a podcast about the work by Jeff Carmack and Tracy Dietzel can be found at : www.csbsju.edu/Fine-Arts/Visua

Steinbach recently completed two solo exhibits. Everybody Knows Everything at Trinity College in Chicago in September 2011, and Beautiful Dreamer at Form + Content Gallery in Minneapolis in October 2011.

Kenneth recently participated in the juried exhibit and delivered the closing lecture at the Interstice(s) Symposium and Art Exhibit at the MacLaurinCSF Minneapolis. The lecture, titled Protect Me From the Poverty of My Intentions, included research on creativity from recent interviews with a number of artists.

Kenneth will be showing a work in the Form + Content Gallery Connections: 18 Images with a Common Thread exhibit, Jan 5- February 4, 2012. Walking: The New Forests of Thoreau’s America. A new installation by Steinbach for the Portals on Western public art program at St. Paul’s College of Visual Arts. January 30- June 1, 2012. The work explores the transformation of the mythology of the North American landscape since Thoreau wrote the essay Walking in 1862.
